Tattooed man, 38, who is still looking for work, has applied for a tattoo at a shop in the heart of the capital city.
Mr Lee, who has had two tattoos, was asked to apply for a new tattoo by a tattoo artist who also happens to be his cousin, the News24 understands.
“I applied for my tattoo a few days ago and when I arrived, the receptionist said they’d like to look at it,” he said.
“When I went in, I saw the tattoo was a chest script.
I asked if I could have a better one and she said ‘yes’.”
I had been to an artist a few years ago, but it was a bit rough and not my style, so I’ve been looking around for a better alternative.
“The shop owner said they can use a technique I’m not very good at, so they decided to put a chest code on me and I was like ‘OK, let’s do it’.”
The tattoo looks like a big ‘C’ in the middle, so it’s easy to get.
“But it took me about an hour to get the ink done, and when it’s done, I’ll put it on, but I have no idea when.”
Mr Lee has tattoos on both arms, shoulders and chest, but his preferred method of tattooing is on his arm.
“My arm tattoo is a big red heart on it and the chest code is a little smaller.”
It’s really nice to have a tattoo that looks different, but at the same time, it’s not for everyone.
“If I’m lucky, it’ll be on the back of my neck.”
Some people get tattoos on their ears and on the forehead, but that’s not my preference.
“For now, I just want to do my best, and if I can get it done, then I’ll do it.”
